A Message from Financial Secretary, Dale
Thomas.
Fellow turner members this is your second reminder that 2012 dues
are owed and payable effective Jan. 1st. Please remember that dues
need to be paid prior to the March membership meeting. This is the
second notice. Also remember if you haven’t purchased your coupon
books they need to be purchased by the end of the year otherwise
your privileges and the Elgin Turners may be suspended or possible
terminated. Also remember fellow members, that all coupon books must
be purchased prior to the end of the year or you may lose your
privileges at the Club. A list of members that have not purchased
there coupons has been printed and is posted down at the Club. Thank
you, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Come join the fun! Bring family and friends and don’t forget Santa

Elgin Turners Calendar
Turnfest down in Aurora!
Fellow members, Turnfest will be taking place during the week of
July 4th. This event
only happens every 4 years and is a great social event where fellow
turner members can meet and party with other turner members around
the US. So please attend if you are interested.

A Message
from Jack Bucaro, Bar Trustee
We are looking for volunteers to bartend on the remaining Bears
games this year you must be Basset or tips certified. We are also
looking for your help with the Christmas Party for the kids this
year as well. Please contact, Seth, Bill Genz or myself for more
details. Also Don’t forget to join us for Tom and Jerry’s New Years
Day, and thanks to all the people who helped bartend for 1450,
Turkey Raffle and Thanksgiving morning. Remember Tuesdays is SPIN
THE WHEEL night so come on down and try your hand at the wheel. Also
check the special boards to see what this months drink specials are.

A Message from the Vice President, The Genz
Happy Holidays Turner Members,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and is looking forward
to Christmas! Thank you to all who helped with the 1450 Dinner/Dance
and Turkey Raffle, they were both a huge success and a lot of fun. I
wanted to remind everyone that The Annual Chili Cook-off will be
held on December 4th, beginning at 12pm. The Bears will be playing
the Kansas City Chiefs also at 12pm, so come on down and eat some
EXCELLENT chili and enjoy a Bears win! The drawings for best chili
will be at 3pm!!!! Also, we have the Kids Christmas Party on
December 11th from 1-3pm. If you would like for your child to
receive a present from SANTA, I need you to please fill out the XMAS
list on the bulletin board downstairs at the club and turn it into
Santa's Mailbox (Dale's Office) NO LATER THEN MONDAY DEC. 5TH!!! We
could use volunteers that day for setup, cleanup, helping the kids
with their crafts etc. Remember it's for the kids!!
Also, it is that time of the year to get nominations for the 2012
Board of Executives. If you are interested or have any questions for
next year’s board please contact myself, Randy Ruhl, or Norman Hoel
as we are heading this year’s Committee. This is a chance to get
involved in a different way with the club. I myself have been a
member now for 8 years and have served for 4 of them on the board,
(3 as your Vice President, and 1 as Custodian). I have enjoyed it,
and plan on staying on the board in 2012, so if you would like to
get more involved give me a call.

Illinois district turners has a new
website at http://illinoisturners.org
. It will be continually being updated and
will soon promote different society events. Please sign up for an
account (it is free), it allows you to see members only content when
logged in. It features a calendar of district and camp events, a
user forum, photo album galleries (visible only to members), and
soon to be a collectible store.
